At our 50th Reunion, we decided to focus our gifts to the Class of 1961 Scholarship with a goal of $150,000. Our scholarship is now funded at $90,000 - with only $60,000 to go to meet our goal!
Family members of our Class, identified in the admissions process, are the first to benefit from the scholarship. If no one is identified, the scholarship is then directed toward an incoming First-Generation student. We’m sure we can relate to that group since so many of us were the first in our families to attend college, some of us benefiting from the generosity of the Brothers.
Could we make an effort to leave SMU with a scholarship fully funded between $150,000-$200,000 by the time we gather together at the 2022 reunion? It would be a wonderful accomplishment to surpass our goal and leave a robust permanent legacy through the Class of 1961 Scholarship for Saint Mary's students.
Please consider your gift to St. Mary’s University as paying it forward, returning to another the gifts we have received.Thank you for considering this request. If you have any questions, please call any one of the organizing group:
