About the speakers:

Sean Clark M'12

Sean Clark joined Saint Mary’s University of Minnesota’s Health and Human Services Administration Program as an Adjunct Instructor in 2015.  He hails from Seattle, Washington where he lived for most of his early adulthood, before moving to Rochester, Minnesota.

Sean studied economics as an undergraduate, at the University of Washington.  He completed his Master of Arts degree in Health and Human Services Administration at Saint Mary’s University of Minnesota (SMUMN) in 2012.  Since joining the SMUMN Faculty, he has helped design and teach the Online Capstone and Health Sector Quality and Performance Improvement classes.

Professionally, Sean has over 25 years of experience working with teams as an improvement facilitator and practitioner.  Sean has served in operational management and business consulting roles, in a variety of industries.  After transitioning from manufacturing to healthcare about ten years ago, Sean began working as a Health Systems Engineer at a nationally ranked academic medical center.  In that role, he built extensive experience in coaching and leading healthcare improvement efforts.  Sean now serves as a Principal Quality Improvement Advisor and Instructor within the institution's College of Medicine Quality Academy, where he teaches Lean and Quality Improvement methodologies.


Molly Sweeney M'21

Molly is a healthcare professional with experience driving institutional strategies to achieve project deliverables and relationship outcomes. She enjoys the challenge of managing complex internal and external relationships, while delicately balancing needs and objectives of multiple stakeholder groups. Molly was born and raised in Rochester, Minnesota, graduating from Rochester Lourdes High School in 1995.

Molly was a successful healthcare fundraiser prior to her current Contracting and Payer Relations Complex Care role supporting complex and serious illness payers and clients. She has a passion for healthcare administration, operations and quality.

Molly has her undergraduate degree in Business Management from Cardinal Stritch University in Milwaukee, Wisconsin and will graduate from Saint Mary’s in June with a Masters of Health and Human Services Administration. Molly lives in Rochester and works for Mayo Clinic.

When not working or studying, Molly enjoys spending time with her son, Kolton who attends NDSU in Fargo, North Dakota (Go Bison!) and training for and competing in triathlons.
