Lasallian Day of Service was started by Saint Mary's University as a day for students and alumni to volunteer in their communities - in the spirit of the Lasallian mission of service to others. While restrictions from COVID-19 will not allow us to volunteer together this year, there are still many ways to assist local charities, continuing our mission of service to others. It is a priority of the Alumni Association to continue with our annual Lasallian Day of Service event as it is the core spirit of our Lasallian Catholic mission.

Many charities and non-profits are not allowing in-person volunteers. Although we are not be able to serve together, we as individuals or as families can do a lot of good.

Thanks to the efforts of our alumni board members, we can share volunteer and donation information in several specific regions. No matter where you are located, you can donate clothing, food, or other items to help your communities in these difficult times.

Let’s use Lasallian Day of Service to be social! On October 24, when you are doing your part in service to your community, post a picture on your social media channels using #smumnldos20 and make sure to share photos with the alumni office at Register today, so we know where you are and what type of service you are providing to your community.

If you pre-register before October 24, the Alumni Relations Office will send you a Saint Mary's branded mask, as seen below, in honor of your participation in Lasallian Day of Service 2020.
