This award honors an alumnus/a for outstanding accomplishment within his/her professional career. The award will reflect the achievements in his/her chosen profession with particular focus on the Lasallian values of mentoring and making an impact on others.

This award will honor an alumnus/a of the university, who by his/her consistent and continuous volunteer efforts has given his/her personal time and energies to further the goals and objectives of Saint Mary's University.

• Served as a life-long ambassador of Saint Mary's University
• Remained engaged with the fellow alumni to encourage and attend reunion events or local opportunities to engage current/future students
• Be recognized as an active volunteer in his/her region, a "go-to" person to support alumni activity
• Demonstrated commitment of time as a volunteer on a specific alumni activity or event

The purpose of the Saint Mary's University Sports Hall of Fame is to honor persons or teams who have made outstanding contributions to the Saint Mary's intercollegiate athletic department as athletes, coaches, or administrators. Awarded during Cardinal Excellence Fund Dinner in the Spring.

Award Criteria

• An athlete must have attended Saint Mary's University for a minimum of four semesters. An athlete's class must have graduated at least five years prior to selection.
• A coach or administrator must have served at Saint Mary's a minimum of five years. Five years must have elapsed since a nominee last served at Saint Mary's in that capacity. If currently serving at Saint Mary's at the time of nomination, the nominee must have 20 years of continuous service.
• A Hall of Fame nominee will have shown athletic and academic skills, teamwork, leadership, character or other attributes of the ideal Saint Mary's University student-athlete
